Snowline is one of the two gated communities in Glacier, WA. Snowline is located on the fringe of the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Most of the homes in Snowline are cabin & chalet style homes. The area is heavily treed and parts of Snowline are fairly sloped. There are community services of tennis & basketball courts as well as a large playing field and heated swimming pool. All of the streets are paved and well maintained in Snowline. Real estate in Snowline begins in the high $200,000's and range up to $400,000's.

The Mt Baker Rim is the second gated community in Glacier, WA. The Mt Baker Rim is larger than Snowline with about 300 total members. The Mt Baker Rim is located on the south side of the Mt Baker Highway just west of Snowline. The Mt Baker Rim also has a playing field & tennis courts as well as a community heated pool. The Mt Baker Rim also features community river access and clubhouse for recreational purposes. The topography of the Mt Baker Rim is fairly level. The Mt Baker Rim originally allowed property owners to place single and double wide manufactured homes on lots. This is no longer allowed, but there are still some manufactured homes that exist and can be purchased in the Mt Baker Rim. There are other Mt Baker real estate opportunities outside of the gated communities. The Snowline Inn condos are located on the south side of Highway 542 past the Mt Baker Rim. The Snowline Inn was built in 1975 and offers a more affordable real estate option near Mt Baker. Snowline Inn condos are around 400sq.ft. to 700sq.ft. and have been selling in the $70,000's range. Snowater is another option for condo near Mt Baker. Snowater offers timeshare condominiums as well as outright purchases. Snowater condos range in the $130,000's and range to the $170,000's.

Other Mt Baker real estate opportunities include private parcels that are scattered along the Mt Baker Highway and intersecting dead end roads. There are not a lot of private opportunities available, but they do come for sale.
